Author's Pov

It was Serena's birthday, and she always insisted on celebrating it in a grand, kingly way. This year, she had chosen an opulent palace as the venue for the festivities. Eva and Kyle had been invited to the celebrations, and they approached the palace in awe of its grandeur.

Serena loved to throw extravagant parties, always demanding the best of everything. This year was no exception, and she had spared no expense when it came to her birthday celebration. The palace was already bustling with activity as servants hurried to prepare for the evening's festivities.

As the guests arrived at the palace, they were shown to their respective rooms to get ready for the party. The rooms were lavish and adorned with luxurious decorations, reflecting the opulence of the palace. Everyone busied themselves with getting dressed and prepared for the evening.

Kyle was the first to emerge from her room, looking stunning in a beautiful dress. The material clung to her figure, accentuating her curves and showcasing her flawless skin. She had taken the time to doll herself up, her hair and makeup perfectly done.

Kyle looked stunning in a parrish blue gown with a dramatic slit that revealed her toned legs. The dress hugged her figure perfectly, emphasizing her slender physique and giving her a confident and sexy air. Her hair was styled in an updo, showcasing her elegant neck and delicate facial features.

After Kyle, the birthday girl herself emerged from her room. She looked absolutely radiant, her beauty taking center stage. Her dress was nothing short of breathtaking, shimmering in the light and reflecting her royal status.

The birthday girl looked like a vision in blue. The gown she wore was a rich shade of blue, the material flowing down to the ground in a regal trail. It was adorned with intricate embroidery and sparkling sequins, adding to its opulent appearance.

Eva stood in front of the mirror, examining her reflection. The makeup artist had just finished pampering her, and she was pleased with how she looked. She ran a hand through her hair, admiring the way it framed her face.

She studied her features, noting how the makeup accentuated her eyes and highlighted her bone structure. Satisfied with her appearance, she smiled at her reflection, feeling confident and beautiful.

As Eva finally emerged from her room, all eyes were on her. She looked like an angel, her beauty otherworldly and captivating. The dress she wore hugged her curves in all the right places, emphasizing her slender figure. Her hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, framing her delicate features.

Eva was clad in a beautiful black dress gown. The flowing material hugged her figure, emphasizing her slim waist and slender curves. The gown was simple yet elegant, making her stand out among the other guests in their colorful and extravagant outfits. Her hair was styled in soft waves, framing her face beautifully.

As Eva walked into the ballroom, she was immediately caught in a whirlwind of activity. Both Serena and Kyle ran towards her, their faces filled with excitement. The two girls threw their arms around Eva, hugging her tightly.

Serena and Kyle looked at Eva with sly grins on their faces, their tone dripping with playful sultriness. "Eva, darling," Serena began, "you really should get yourself a boyfriend, someone to protect you."

Kyle jumped in enthusiastically, chiming in, "Yeah, Eva! You need a man in your life to look after you, you know."

Eva couldn't help but giggle at her friends' playful comments. "Oh, stop it, you two," she said, swatting at them playfully. "I don't need a boyfriend to protect me. I can handle myself just fine, thank you very much!"

Eva tossed her hair dramatically, the silky strands flowing beautifully as she moved. She was playing along with her friends' teasing, putting on a show for them.

"See?" she said with a smirk. "I don't need a man. I'm perfectly capable of handling myself."

The three friends were quickly immersed in drinking as the evening progressed. They were laughing and gossiping, their spirits high, and the conversation flowed effortlessly.

"You know," Kyle said, pouring another drink for herself, "Eva really does need a boyfriend. Someone to keep her on her toes."

Serena nodded in agreement. "Yeah, a protective, possessive guy who would worship the ground she walks on."

Eva couldn't pinpoint who was staring at her, but she could feel a hot gaze on her. She glanced around the room, trying to identify the source, but everyone seemed to be engaged in their own conversations.

"Do you feel like someone's watching us?" she whispered to her friends, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

Serena and Kyle exchanged glances, their eyebrows raised in surprise and confusion. "No, not really," Kyle replied, craning her neck to scan the room. "I don't see anyone looking at us... "

Serena chimed in, "Maybe it's just your imagination, Eva. There are so many people here, it's easy to feel like you're being watched."

Kyle excused herself to use the restroom, leaving Eva sitting alone at the bar. She pulled out her phone and began scrolling through her notifications, trying to occupy herself until her friend returned.

Meanwhile, Serena was busy mingling with the guests, going from one group to another, chatting and laughing.

As Serena approached Eva, she couldn't help but notice how the light cascaded down on her friend's face, illuminating her features and making her look even more stunning.

"Hey, there you are," Serena said, taking a seat next to Eva. "I was wondering where you snuck off to."

Serena looked at Eva with a sly smile, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "I want to introduce you to someone," she said, a hint of mischief in her voice.

Eva looked at Serena with curiosity, her eyebrows raised. "Who do you want to introduce me to?" she asked, a hint of intrigue in her tone.

Serena gently took Eva's hand and led her away from the bar. "Come on," she said, a smile playing on her lips. "I promise you won't be disappointed."

Eva followed Serena obediently, feeling a mixture of curiosity and resignation. She didn't know who her friend was leading her to, but she decided to trust Serena's judgment and go along with it.

As Serena led Eva to where her cousin wasstanding, Eva felt something uncomfortable under her shoe. She looked down to see what it was, but before she could react, she heard Serena's voice introducing her.

"This is my cousin, Mr. Aaron Alston," Serena said with a smile.

As Eva heard Serena's introduction, she immediately looked up in surprise. Her eyes widened as she laid eyes on the person in front of her, and her breath hitched in her throat.
