12| His demeanour

Eva's Pov

As the early light of day streamed in through the window, I blinked against the brightness. My eyes were still drowsy from a restless night, and I tried to rub the sleepiness away.

I stretched my arms lazily, feeling my muscles protest as they slowly uncoiled. I let out a sigh, feeling the stiffness in my limbs from a night spent tossing and turning.

My mind wandered to the events of the previous night, and I felt a pang of disappointment that Aaron had to leave. The memory of his voice, his touch, the way he had smiled at me..all of it seemed to linger in my mind with an intensity that surprised me.

It was true, I barely knew him. Our encounter had been brief, lasting only a few hours at most. But somehow, I felt strangely drawn to him, a gravitational pull that I couldn't understand.

I reached for my phone, which lay on the bedside table. As I picked it up, my eyes flicked towards the screen, and I saw a notification blinking insistently.

I frowned as I saw the notification from an unknown number. My heartbeat quickened as I unlocked my phone and checked the message.

I waited for the message to load, my heart thumping hard in my chest. I wondered who could be sending me a message at this hour.

My heart sank in disappointment as I saw that the message was from the yacht stranger again. I had hoped for something different, something unexpected perhaps, but instead it was just the same mysterious number.

The same old message greeted me, just as it had before. "Hey butterfly." I felt a flicker of irritation mixed with curiosity as I read the words again. Who was this person, and what did they want from me?

I rolled out of bed and made my way to the bathroom, my muscles still stiff from a restless night's sleep. I turned on the shower, adjusting the temperature to just the right level before stepping inside.

After finishing my breakfast, I gathered my belongings and headed out of my apartment towards the university. The morning air was crisp and cool, and I felt a sense of anticipation building inside me as I walked.

As I entered the campus, I spotted Kyle sitting alone on a bench near the entrance. I walked up to her, noticing that Serena wasn't around.

"Where's Serena?" I asked as I approached Kyle, taking a seat next to her on the bench.

Kyle looked up at me and shrugged, her expression nonchalant. "She's not feeling well," she replied. "Skipping class today, the poor thing."

Despite my lingering disappointment from the unknown text, the morning passed quickly, filled with light-hearted banter. Kyle and I spent most of the lecture exchanging jokes and whispers, barely paying attention to the professor's droning voice up front.

I made my way to the campus cafeteria, joining Kyle. As we chowed down on our food, she chattered away about everything from fashion trends to celebrity gossip.

After a quick lunch, I said goodbye to Kyle and headed back towards my apartment. The campus seemed almost deserted, with most students attending the function.

The day seemed to drag on slowly, and despite all the preparations for the special event, nothing much happened. Maybe it was my own mood that made the day feel dull and uneventful.

After getting back to my apartment, I decided to take a quick shower to freshen up. Once I was done, I changed into some casual clothes and headed out of my apartment towards the usual hangout spot for the stray cats.

As soon as I arrived at the usual spot, a group of cats swarmed around me, meowing and rubbing against my legs.

I smiled and patted a few on the head, feeling a sense of comfort from their presence.

The cats always had a soothing effect on me. As they purred and nuzzled against me, I felt my worries melt away and my mood lifting.Over time, coming to this spot to meet the stray cats had become sort of a routine for me.

I felt a sense of comfort and familiarity in this place, like a secret escape from the stresses of college life.I sat on the curb, letting the cats climb onto my lap and purr contentedly.

Suddenly, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I pulled it out to check the notification, expecting it to be another promotional message.I checked my phone and saw that I had a message from my mom, asking about my health and well-being.

A small smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I replied to her, assuring her that I was fine. After bidding farewell to the cats and feeding them some treats, I finally headed back home.

The evening air was cool and crisp, and a soft breeze blew across my face as I walked.Once I got back to my apartment, I gave my mom a call. She answered immediately, her warm voice greeting me on the other end.

We chatted for what felt like hours, catching up on family news and gossiping about old friends. The conversation was lighthearted and easy, and I felt a sense of comfort in hearing her voice.

After finishing my call with my mom, I went into the kitchen and prepared a simple meal for myself. I finished my dinner quickly and cleaned up, then proceeded with my nightly routine, washing my face and getting ready for bed.

Aaron's Pov

Ivan looked even more nervous now, his eyes darting around the room as if searching for an escape. But there was no escape for him, and he knew it.

I signaled for my men to leave the room, gesturing for the ones I trusted to stay behind. Liam, Derek, and my most trusted bodyguard remained, their eyes trained on me and waiting for my next command.

Ivan's eyes darted to me nervously at the mention of that girl, and I could see the fear that flickered across his face. "How do they know about her?" I repeated, my voice low and dangerous.

He hesitated for a moment, his mind racing for a response. But he quickly realized that there was no point in lying to me. "They have eyes and ears everywhere," he answered nervously. "They knew about her from the start."

I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes at him. "From the start you say..." I repeated, my voice heavy with sarcasm. "How long have they been watching her then?"

Ivan shifted uncomfortably in his seat again, his expression pained. "For a week," he admitted. "They've been following her, watching her every move, gathering information on her."

My jaw clenched as anger surged through me at the revelation. The thought of someone, especially the Russian mafia, watching her and gathering information on her filled me with a sense of protectiveness and rage.

Derek nodded, understanding the meaning behind my words. "Consider it done," he said, his voice steely and determined. "I'll get all the information we need on every member of the Russian mafia."

I approached Ivan, my footsteps slow and deliberate. I stood in front of him, looking down at his still-bound form. His expression was a mixture of fear and defiance, but I could see the sweat glistening on his forehead.

I reached into a nearby toolbox and retrieved a small kit, its contents gleaming in the dim light. I set it down on the table beside me with a heavy thud, the sound making Ivan flinch slightly. He watched me with wide eyes, his expression growing more and more panicked as I slowly opened the kit.

I picked up a pair of pliers, examining them for a moment before my gaze flicked back to Ivan. He watched my movements like a hawk, his eyes fixed on the pliers in my hand.

His face paled as he recognized what I was holding, and he swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing anxiously in his throat. He let out a strangled sound of protest, but I barely spared him a glance as I walked around behind him.

Then, i took his fingers and pressed them between the pliers. He scream out of lungs in  pain , it sent me a kind of satisfaction , his scream , fear , nervousness just seems heaven to me .

I grabbed his finger and wrenched it up, holding it tight as I positioned , I twisted the pliers, applying more pressure to his fingers. He let out a loud scream , But this was only the trailer, the whole movie was still left !

I picked up the vial of hydrochloric acid next, holding it up to the light and admiring the liquid within. It glowed sinisterly, its acidic properties evident even from a distance.

I poured it on the injured finger, earning a loud screech from him . I then , poured acid on his thighs making the cloth dissolve , as Hydrochloric acid is too strong it didn't take more than 1 minute to do its work .

As the cloth dissolve in acid , causing his thigh redness , it damaged his epidermis within the contact of just seconds, there was some still left in the bottle .

So, I make him to drink the ACID ,  it leads to his breakdown of lung tissue and potentially permanent lip and mouth damage .

He was fainted , not having the capacity to endure more torture , but i was not done yet ! there's more .

He's going to serve as an another example, Everyone will know the price of crossing me."

~ 🚫 Ended

I stepped into the shower, allowing the warm water to cascade down my body. The steam rose around me, enveloping me in a soothing embrace. As the water hit my skin, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, feeling the tension and stress of the day slowly melting away.

As I stepped out of the shower wrapped a towel around my body, the clock on the wall read 5 a.m. The early morning light was just beginning to filter through the windows, casting a soft glow on the surroundings.

I had been up the whole night, working and planning. Despite the lack of sleep, I didn't feel tired. My mind was still racing with thoughts and plans, my body filled with adrenaline and determination.

I had always been this way, ever since I was a child. I could never really remember the last time I had felt truly calm or relaxed. My mind was constantly racing, my thoughts swirling around in my head like a never-ending vortex.

I left the bedroom and made my way to my office, my steps quick and purposeful. I entered the room, shutting the door behind me, and sat down at the oak desk. The room was dark, the only light coming from a small lamp on the desk, casting a warm glow over the surface.

Despite the fact that I didn't have any meetings scheduled for today, I decided to work from my office. I didn't feel like going out, and there was plenty of work to do. I opened my laptop and began to sort through emails and reports, my mind already fully engaged in the tasks at hand.
